Beita Bao'en Temple: The Oldest Buddhist Temple in Suzhou

Beita Bao'en Temple has a history of 1,700 years, making it the oldest Buddhist temple in Suzhou. Legend has it that Sun Quan built the temple to honor his mother. The temple grounds are spacious and tranquil, with the shadows of trees providing a cool and refreshing atmosphere.

The Bao'en Temple Pagoda, also known as Beisi Pagoda, is a pavilion-style pagoda made of brick and wood. It is renowned as the "First Ancient Temple in Wu Region." During this visit, the Beisi Pagoda was under renovation, so I couldn't see it in person.
