A poetic retreat hidden in Suzhou's ancient alleys✨
During my trip to Suzhou, I stumbled upon a hidden gem: Anshe Hotel, tucked away at 17 Jianxin Lane in Gusu District. It's the perfect place to experience Suzhou's slow-paced lifestyle.
📍 Fantastic Location: The hotel is conveniently located just off Exit 5 of Lindun Road Station on Metro Lines 1 and 6. It's a few minutes' walk to the Pingjiang Road Historic District, and Guanqian Street is only about 10 minutes away. Whether you want to experience the charm of the ancient streets, enjoy delicious food, or go shopping, it's incredibly convenient.
🏨 Hotel Highlights: The hotel offers a complimentary Hanfu experience, featuring exquisitely crafted garments. Donning Hanfu and taking photos in the hotel courtyard or the surrounding ancient alleys is like stepping back in time. The hotel is also pet-friendly, allowing you to bring your furry companions along, making your trip even more cozy.
🛏 Comfortable Room: I stayed in an Anshixiang Yu King Room, and from the window, I could see the whitewashed walls and black-tiled houses of Suzhou's historic past and the bluestone pavement. The room was spotless, with sheets changed after each guest, and the bathroom had separate wet and dry areas. Features like facial recognition door opening and voice control made check-in incredibly convenient, allowing you to control lights, curtains, and more with just your voice. Drinks in the refrigerator and mini-bar were free, and the mineral water was unlimited, a truly thoughtful touch.
🍜 A plethora of delicious food: The hotel breakfast included delicious Suzhou specialties like Aozao noodles and pan-fried buns. Nearby, a traditional noodle shop serves authentic Suzhou-style noodle soups, and the Aozao noodles and three-shrimp noodles are must-try. Pingjiang Road also offers a variety of delicious eats, like the iced chicken head rice at Jitou Mi Tangshui Shop, which is sweet and refreshing, and Lu Changxing's pan-fried buns, which have thin wrappers and generous fillings.
There are also many nearby attractions, including the Humble Administrator's Garden and the Suzhou Museum. During my stay at Anshe Hotel, I was able to leisurely explore the sights, savor the food, and experience the unique charm of Suzhou. I really didn't want to check out! If you're looking for a poetic Suzhou experience, Anshe Hotel is a great choice.
