Suzhou Taihu Wetland: An Ecological Secret Realm Dancing with Birds
Avoiding the crowded giant panda exhibition area, I embarked on an ecological journey dancing with birds at Suzhou Taihu National Wetland Park.
Strolling along the wetland boardwalk, a Daurian redstart suddenly landed on a branch, its red-orange tail feathers especially striking in the sunlight. Not far away, a hoopoe with its crown-like crest was using its slender beak to turn over the soil in search of food; it remained calm and leisurely even when people approached. Brown-headed laughingthrushes moved in flocks through the reeds, their round bodies and chirping calls adding a lively touch to the wetland.
Boating on the lake, a family of mallards floated on the water, the male’s dark green head and neck contrasting beautifully with the female’s brown feathers. Egrets stood gracefully in the shallows, sometimes lowering their heads to catch fish, sometimes spreading their wings to soar, creating a vivid ink painting with the blue waves and sky.
This place is not only a paradise for birds but also a gift of nature. Sika deer stroll through the forest, blending with bird songs and the sound of the wind to form an ecological symphony. If you also want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, why not come here and experience this tranquility and beauty.
