Su Zhou Museum, the pinnacle of Jiangnan aesthetics by master I.M. Pei, who once called it his "little daughter"! A perfect symphony of light and lines, this Suzhou landmark is stunning.
1️⃣ Museum entrance corridor
Look up to see fish swimming across the sky! The hexagonal hollow skylight is Pei's signature design, naturally creating an ink-wash filter on rainy days.
2️⃣ Central courtyard water surface
A modern version of a small bridge over flowing water! Stand on the stone path to capture reflections, with geometric architecture and koi fish in the same frame for an amazing shot.
Although most people come here now just to check in and take photos, I sincerely recommend spending an hour to carefully view the exhibitions: Ming Dynasty paintings and calligraphy, celadon lotus bowls, King Fuchai of Wu’s sword... these are the true soul of Suzhou Museum✨
If you have time, you can also sit in the museum’s café, whose hollowed-out large windows perfectly match the entire museum’s design style.
