As I wandered through the historic streets of Old Town Batavia, I felt like I had stepped back in time. The charming buildings, with their Dutch colonial architecture, seemed to whisper stories of the past. I visited the iconic Jakarta Old Town Museum, housed in a beautifully restored 18th-century building, and marveled at the exhibits showcasing the city's rich history.
The area's cobblestone streets and old churches added to the nostalgic atmosphere, while the nearby Kali Besar River offered a glimpse into the city's trading past. I discovered quaint shops selling local crafts and sampled traditional Indonesian cuisine at one of the many street food stalls. Each moment spent exploring Old Town Batavia was a journey through Jakarta's fascinating cultural heritage.
