Suzhou Autumn Viewing: Step into an Oil Painting-like Secret Autumn Realm

As the weather cools, autumn quietly arrives around us~After three years of taking kids to enjoy autumn, I’ve summarized 7 less crowded, off-the-beaten-path, and easily accessible autumn viewing spots to share with everyone~
1⃣️ Ginkgo - Zhiping Temple (November-December)
A stunning ancient temple to admire ginkgo trees, with few people around. The 300-year-old ginkgo trees slowly shed their leaves, making you feel like you’ve stepped into a painting.
·
2⃣️ Dawn Redwood - Tiger Hill Wetland Park (mid-November)
Layers of red dawn redwoods reflected on the water surface look like an oil painting. The wetland park also offers camping—let’s have a weekend picnic together~
·
3⃣️ Rice Fields - Beilian Village (end of October)
Vast rice fields fill the air with a fresh rice fragrance. There’s a super tall 4-story observation tower where you can also see rice field paintings~
·
4⃣️ Maple Leaves - Tanxi Road (mid-November)
A few hundred meters of maple leaf avenue covered in dazzling red, with fallen red maple leaves blanketing the ground—truly breathtaking.
·
5⃣️ Ginkgo - Taiping Old Street (November-December)
The millennium-old ginkgo tree at Taiping Zen Temple shines golden. Nearby Taiping Old Street is full of lively local atmosphere, perfect for a casual stroll~
·
6⃣️ Dawn Redwood - Tongli Wetland Park (November-December)
A huge park filled with forests and fresh air~Enjoy dawn redwoods, bird watching, ride a small train, or take a forest boat tour. Kids can play here all day~
·
7⃣️ Osmanthus - Yaoshang Village (October)
A lesser-known osmanthus viewing village by Taihu Lake, where the whole village is filled with the fragrance of osmanthus.
.
When traveling with kids, I always bring some tasty and convenient snacks to replenish their energy anytime. This time, for osmanthus viewing, I brought kids Osmanthus Pear-flavored Oreo, which is individually packaged and easy to carry~
As soon as I took it out, the kids saw the yellow packaging and said, “It’s the same color as osmanthus!” Instantly, the autumn vibe was fully set~
After playing hard, eating one piece—the outside is classic Oreo cookies, and the filling contains real pear bits, making the taste even better~The kids were super happy; it’s basically a magic trick to keep them happy. The osmanthus fragrance in the air paired with the sweet Osmanthus Pear Oreo—that’s the taste of autumn~
