Location: No. 128, North End of Puzhao Temple Road, Taishan District, Tai'an City
Tai'an Puzhao Temple, the name of the temple means 'Buddha's light shines everywhere', is said to be an ancient temple from the Six Dynasties, belonging to the Linji sect of Zen Buddhism. It consists of the Mahavira Hall, Six Dynasties Pine, Bamboo Forest, Shaiyue Pavilion, Zen Room, Bell and Drum Tower, Five-tone Stone, Seven-story Buddha Tower, and the Release Pond, forming a four-entry courtyard. The couplet on the temple gate reads 'The long pine filters the moonlight, indistinguishable between ancient and modern times; the black beans have not sprouted, how to distinguish Confucianism and Buddhism', pursuing the 'unity of the three teachings', which also reflects the inclusive spirit of Mount Tai's culture.
Opening hours: 9:00~16:30, the temple is open for free, no reservation needed, casual attire is appropriate, best for photography
Recommended visiting time: Afternoon with slanting sunlight, magnolia blossoms, ginkgo leaves falling, and snow covering in midwinter!!
① Adjacent to Sanyang Temple to the north and Huanshan Road to the south. It is an independent attraction, located at the southern foot of Mount Tai, but not within the Mount Tai scenic area, not along the climbing route. ② The area is not large, plan your visit accordingly. ③ Free incense is available, but Puzhao Zen tea requires purchase. ④ Parking is charged, and there are electric scooters available to the south of the road.
