A romantic must-do in Tai'an❗️Wait for a breathtaking sunrise at the summit of Mount Tai🌄
The most heart-stirring scenery in Tai'an has to be the Mount Tai sunrise! Please keep this super detailed viewing guide~
🌟Best Sunrise Viewing Spots:
1️⃣ Jade Emperor Peak: The highest point of Mount Tai, with the widest view
2️⃣ Riguan Peak: Classic sunrise observation spot, requires early positioning
3️⃣ Zhanlu Platform: Fewer people, suitable for visitors who prefer tranquility
🚩Recommended Hiking Routes:
For night climbs to see the sunrise, it’s recommended to take the Red Gate route (about 6 hours) or take a bus from Tianwai Village to Zhongtian Gate and then climb (about 3 hours). Along the way, there are iconic spots like South Heavenly Gate and Heavenly Street.
🌌Sea of Clouds Viewing Tips:
The sea of clouds is most likely to appear after rain when the sky clears! It’s recommended to check the weather forecast in advance. The chance of seeing both the sea of clouds and sunrise together is about 30%.
🌅Sunrise Schedule:
Summer: around 4:30-5:00 AM
Winter: around 6:30-7:00 AM
(Specific times depend on the daily weather forecast)
🏡Accommodation Recommendations:
▪️At the summit: Shenqi Hotel / Meteorological Station Hotel (convenient for watching the sunrise)
▪️At the foot of the mountain: Near Wanda Plaza (cost-effective)
📌Useful Tips:
1️⃣ Bring a flashlight and a thick jacket for the night climb (it’s very cold at the summit!)
2️⃣ Remember to bring some high-calorie snacks to replenish energy
3️⃣ It’s recommended to wear anti-slip hiking shoes, as some sections are steep
4️⃣ Tickets cost 115 RMB, it’s recommended to book in advance on Trip.com
🍜Must-Try Foods:
After descending, be sure to try the "Three Beauties of Mount Tai" (cabbage, tofu, water), Mount Tai baked flatbread, and Mount Tai chestnuts—perfect for replenishing energy!
