My Life FIRST | Enjoying the Atrium of Taicang Museum
Taicang is a port city with a history of over 4,000 years. During the Spring and Autumn period, the King of Wu established a granary here, hence the name 'Taicang.' The history of Taicang is closely linked with ships, and it was also the departure port for Zheng He's fleet on his seven voyages to the Western seas. The Taicang Museum features maritime artifacts from the Yuan and Ming dynasties, with a permanent exhibition of ancient Yuan dynasty ships located on the basement level under the glass walkway in the atrium. The atrium's design is centered around the theme of ships, and upon entering, one is surrounded by ships. This is a must-visit area of the Taicang Museum.
