🗺️Address: No. 14-1, Dongfang Street, Taiping District, Taichung City (inside Dongfang Town Community)
📖Introduction: The Wu family purchased the land of Dongguashan, Chelongpu, Taiping in 1920, and later built buildings, lychee gardens and cemeteries so that future generations can pay their respects or meet relatives and friends at any time; Wu Luanqi Cemetery is a Western-style tomb built by Wu Luanqi's adopted son Wu Dongbi in 1922. There are 9 tombstones in the cemetery for 14 people. The main tombstone in the center is for Wu Jingchun and Wu Luanqi, father and son, and the rest are for Wu Luanqi's concubines and descendants. The rear building and garden were rebuilt into the "Dongfang Dazhen Community" in 1997, leaving only the Wu Luanqi Cemetery, which was designated as a historical site in 1992.
🎫Tickets: Free admission
Opening hours: Admission is subject to application from the Taichung City Cultural Heritage Office.
📓Experience: Wu Luanqi was once a famous official in central China. In addition to doing business, he also worked as an official. However, there is a saying that wealth does not last for more than three generations. I think perhaps the Wu family can be described in this way. However, the Wu family is no longer as famous as before. However, this special form of cemetery is rare and is suitable for the whole family to come here to appreciate the architecture and view history.
