The retro Taichung Station building, which has now been elevated and is no longer in use.

Part of the old station, which has been remodeled to become the "Taichung Station Railway Cultural Park", has had part of the platform renovated to become a walking path.

Benches have also been installed on the old tracks, making it a popular spot for young people to relax. In addition, some of the old diesel cars, DR2700, which were used on the railway for a long time, have been left behind and are being used as a cafe called "Kuanghua Retail Store". The front and back carriages have different looks, and the Kaohsiung side has had its paint removed and is now stainless steel. The front end on the Keelung side has the same yellow warning paint as in the past. Inside is a small shopping mall, and many people were enjoying shopping there.
