The Tai'an Police Station stands silently amidst the mountains of Miaoli, not as a cold, rigid symbol of public power, but as a beacon of humanity guarding the mountains. Its pristine white walls and red tiles along the roof evoke a touch of rural warmth. At night, when the lights are on, they seem to guide the mountain paths and bring peace of mind to pedestrians.
I particularly appreciate the "rhythm of the people" here: the interactions between police officers and villagers aren't routine, but rather tea gatherings under the arcades, where they discuss wild mountain vegetables and the blooming seasons, bringing security to life. Children often chase and play under the banyan tree in front of the police station, their laughter gleaming in the sunlight alongside the police badges, infusing a sense of security into daily life.
The Tai'an Police Station is more than just a law enforcement outpost; it's a place to breathe deeply—weaving a sense of "life protection" between the mountain breeze and the warmth of human nature, reminding us that true strength lies not in guns but in the trust and companionship of the community.
