Taichung Day 2｜Walking in Audit New Village, a cultural and creative surprise in the old house

On the second day of our two-day trip to Taichung, our family came to Audit New Village. This place was originally converted from an old government dormitory, and now it has become a small world that combines old houses and cultural and creative industries. The weather was fine, perfect for a walk, and the crowds were just right on a holiday, so I took my husband and son for a leisurely stroll for the whole morning.

We walked in and found that each stall was more unique than the last. I bought a hand-woven anklet with colorful colors. Summer is coming and it will be perfect with sandals. My husband always loves to buy slogan stickers, and in the end he picked "Industrial and Commercial Financing, Small Loans" (Is this a joke from the financial world?). My son was of course the happiest - he first ate a string of candied strawberries (turned out to be Japanese white strawberries, buy!), which were so sour and sweet, and then bought ice cream puffs from the famous Lvhe, eating as he walked and felt so satisfied.

I didn't have any specific itinerary this time. I just walked around and stopped whenever I wanted, which actually gave me a more travel-like feel. We were quite surprised by Audit Village. It is not only a great place to take photos and check in (it is really good for taking photos 👍), but for us, it is a short trip to quietly savor and feel the slow pace of life in Taichung.
