It is located at 82.5K on the Central Cross-Island Highway and has a Chinese palace-style architectural style. Construction began in 1959 and was completed in 1965. It is known as the tallest palace hotel in Taiwan. In the early years, before the collapse of the Central Cross-Island Highway, it was hard to find a room.
