As you step into the exhibition area, you will be immediately attracted by hundreds of Japanese lanterns of various shapes and colors, as if you were at a shrine festival! The designer used Tainan’s characteristic iron window as a totem and as the pattern of the lanterns, and invited local celebrities in Tainan to handwrite a sentence of love for Tainan as the slogan of each lantern, which is very creative and interactive!

The exhibition area is divided into two parts. In addition to #Hundreds of Lanterns Light Up Tainan, old photos of Tainan were also collected from citizens. Citizens were asked to write down the people and events in the photos to connect the memoirs of Tainan. The exhibition is free, and it’s not bad to add some literary and artistic flavor to your visit while shopping in the department store.
