The 2024 Taiwan Design Show was grandly opened in Tainan a few days ago. In addition to the main exhibition area, Tainan West Market and Tainan Art Museum II, there are also several satellite exhibition areas. The exhibition we visited this time is located in #TainanPatrioticWomen's Museum, the "Coordinate•Standard" interior design exhibition with chairs as the main axis.

The Patriotic Women's Hall is an antique brick-walled and wooden mixed-use building. The building itself is quite attractive, and combined with the distinctive seating as a theme exhibition, it can only be said that it is quite a good match!

The exhibition room is divided into the first and second floors. The first floor has double entrances. The most special thing is the side door, which is rarely opened. It is designed as a nightclub-style corridor, as if it is a fashion show! That’s right, this is a show of chairs. In addition to seeing the exquisite craftsmanship of many classic chairs, you can also get a glimpse of the innovative works of many designers.

The exhibition room on the second floor is divided into two areas. The first area is the classic Taiwanese banquet culture, with a large red round table and iron stools, which can only be seen at buffets, giving a sense of nostalgia to the Taiwanese style. The other area is full of Japanese style, with rocking chairs, works by Japanese master and design guru Iwakura Eritoshi.

In addition to the static exhibition, there are two lectures on the weekend. Anyway, the exhibition is free, and it's quite interesting to spend half an hour walking around. After the visit, you can stop by the Lily Ice and Fruit Shop next door to cool off and quench your thirst.
