This is a new attraction that just opened on February 28 this year (2019) - the Taiwan Ship Park. The park is not large, but it has a 1:1 replica of an antique wooden sailing ship called the "Taiwan Chenggong". The Taiwan Chenggong is 29.5 meters long, with a mainmast 28 meters high and weighing 300 tonnes. The hull is made entirely of wood. The antique ship is divided into facilities such as time capsule, whale back look back, departure corner, dome trail, port side square, etc. The Taiwan Chenggong was completed in 2011. In the same year, the main mast broke and it was repaired. The repair took a year to complete starting in 2015. In addition to the Taiwan Chenggong, the park also has several areas composed of white container houses, including the S cargo hold, executive cabin, projection cabin, and breastfeeding room. The S cargo hold is where some local souvenirs, drinks and snacks are sold. The executive hold is where the park staff work. The projection hold plays videos introducing the history of Taiwan ships. The breastfeeding room is a place for visiting mothers and children to collect breast milk and change diapers. Standing on the "Taiwan Chenggong", you can overlook Anping Port in front of you and the statue of Lin Mo Niang in Lin Mo Niang Park. There are other attractions nearby such as Gangbin Historical Park, Lin Mo Niang Park, Deyang Naval Park, Yizai Golden City, etc., where tourists can take an intellectual historical journey.
