The Chimei Museum, founded by the Chimei Group, represents an 80-year journey of fulfilling dreams from childhood to old age. It is a barrier-free cultural hub of aesthetics, showcasing over 4,000 pieces of artwork. The permanent exhibitions primarily feature the museum's collection, including musical instruments, weapons, animal specimens, and Western art from around the globe, allowing visitors to experience the world right in Taiwan. The museum also houses a violin restoration room and the Amati Workshop, dedicated to preserving and maintaining the health and safety of its collections.
The museum's exterior is designed with elements of Western classical aesthetics. At the top of the building's dome, the park features over 50 sculptures, including the "Apollo Fountain" group sculpture, which depicts the Sun God Apollo emerging from the sea in his chariot. With so many areas to explore, visitors are advised to allocate at least half a day for their visit.
