The Barclay Memorial Park is located in the East District of Tainan City, opposite the Tainan Cultural Center. It was named in memory of the British Reverend Barclay. The Buckley Memorial Park, also known as Buckley Park, was originally only 3.3 hectares in size, but after expansion it has expanded to cover an area of 9.1 hectares. In addition to the lush vegetation, the overall feeling of Buckley Memorial Park is like being in a primeval forest. The dense woods along both sides of the trail are like scenes from a movie, with an inexplicable sense of mystery. Another special thing is that there is a pond in the park named "Dream Lake". It is a water conservancy facility that already existed in the Dutch period and was called "Dutch Pond" and was later called "Dream Lake". "Dream Lake" runs across the park and the Municipal Cultural Center. It was divided into two parts due to the widening of the external road at that time. One part is located in the Buckley Memorial Park and the other part is located in the Cultural Center. This has become one of the special landscapes in the park. You can also see many birds and squirrels moving around on the treetops or trunks in the park. This is a great park. In addition to nearby residents taking walks and exercising here, it also attracts many foreign tourists to visit. I highly recommend this Buckley Memorial Park. If you have the chance to come to Tainan, be sure to take the time to come and see it. I guarantee you will love this park.
