Japanese chain hotel in Zhongshan District, Taipei: The Okura Prestige Taipei

The five-star hotel #Okura Prestige Hotel in Nanjing Zhongshan Business District, Taipei City, is a Prestige series hotel of the Okura brand of Japan's Hotel Okura. The overall space is in a modern classic style. The lobby is quite standard, while the details incorporate Japanese traditions. This can be clearly felt from the colors used in the rooms, but it also has a slightly old-fashioned feel.

We stayed in a basic Elite Twin Room, which was about 13 square meters in size and equipped with a bathtub. I checked the current room rate and it was close to $6,500 on weekdays excluding breakfast. Breakfast would cost an additional $858, which was really not affordable.

As for public facilities, there is a small but beautiful outdoor swimming pool on the rooftop. It creates a nice atmosphere when the lights are on at night, but it is a bit small. Like the lobby, it has a Japanese-style small and beautiful design, which makes it a little less grand.

However, the location is excellent. The bustling Zhongshan District has everything, including restaurants, bars, department stores, and even entertainment venues. It is also close to the MRT station, so it is no wonder that housing prices are high.
