📝 Strolling at the intersection of classic and modern: Taipei trip 🌙🏛️

#Taipei Attractions

🌃 Arrived at Taipei Post Office at night, this ancient European-style building is beautiful. The buildings are particularly charming under the twinkling lights at night, and the photo effects are first-class. In addition to its magnificent appearance, this building is actually an active post office. 📸✨You can also send postcards or buy exquisite souvenirs. Definitely a place worth visiting!

The Taipei Post Office is located near the North Gate, close to the Boai intersection. It was originally a wooden post office in the early 20th century, but was converted into a reinforced concrete structure between 1929 and 1930. The building was designed by Shunichi Kuriyama. The style of the Taipei Post Office combines modern and classical elements, presenting a unique mixed style. 🏛️🌿Although it has the feel of modern architecture, the architectural details still retain the classical features. The original arcade entrance was demolished in the 1960s due to the construction of the Zhongxiao Bridge approach road. This was the largest post office in Taiwan at the time. It used a steel structure, but its exterior walls were painted with veneer bricks and washed stone techniques, retaining the unique charm of the time. 🧱🌟
