Taipei Travel: The Quiet Story of the Century-Old Xinbeitou Station

This time, I happened to visit Xinbeitou Station and unexpectedly discovered its beauty. This century-old station, which has witnessed the passage of time, quietly stands beside Beitou Park. Originally built in 1916, this wooden station is one of the few remaining Japanese-style stations in Taiwan. It has now been transformed into a railway culture exhibition hall, with wooden beams, a replica ticket booth, and old railway photos on the walls, making visitors feel as if they have traveled back to the Beitou hot spring era a hundred years ago.

Although the exhibition space is not large, the displays and introductions inside allow visitors to understand more about the past. The train engine displayed next to the station is also a great spot for photos. If you have the chance to visit Beitou, I highly recommend taking a walk here and learning about the story of this old station.
