Poetic Miniature of a Micro World: A Magical Afternoon at the Miniatures Museum

Choosing to stay at the Mandarin Oriental Taipei, this European palace-like building is itself a work of art. From crystal chandeliers to corridor oil paintings, every detail invites you to pause and admire. With a fascination for art and intricate details, I headed to today's highlight—the Miniatures Museum.
Hidden in a corner of a building's basement, this petite museum is a testament to time and craftsmanship. From Victorian-era kitchens to French castle studies, every inch of space is meticulously recreated, compelling you to lean closer to the glass for a better look. It’s not a fairy tale, but a miniature reflection of life. Returning to the Mandarin Oriental, I sipped Earl Grey tea in the elegant tea lounge, reminiscing about the serene landscapes of those miniature worlds. It felt as though I, too, had become lighter and more dreamlike today.
