Overnight at the Taipei Caesar Metro Hotel, just steps away from Taipei Main Station, a crossroads of bustling modernity and historical charm. From the hotel's upper floors, you can gaze down at the railway and the old city district, where the city's stories quietly unfold amidst the lights. Today's itinerary is a journey of dialogue with memories—the Taiwan Museum.
Located within the 228 Peace Memorial Park, the museum's historic building stands as a silent witness to the weight of time. From Qing Dynasty specimens of flora and fauna to urban models from the Japanese colonial period, each exhibit narrates the island's evolutionary journey. The children's nature exhibition on the basement floor is particularly engaging, blending education with entertainment. In the afternoon, sunlight streams through the dome, casting a warm glow on the marble floors, making it hard to leave. Back at the Caesar Metro, standing by the window overlooking the night traffic, my heart still wanders through the corridors of history.
