Taiwan Museum Taipei, A Cheap Yet Fascinating Place For The Whole Family

If you’re looking for budget friendly things to do in Taipei you need to check out the Taiwan museum. It’s easy to get to, very reasonably priced and has a very diverse range of exhibits on offer.

Entry starts at £3 but you can also get a combo ticket for 4 museums in Taiwan (railway museum, natural history museum are in walking distance and the south museum is a metro ride away) I did the combo ticket and did three museums in one morning.

The building itself is beautiful and was built in the 1930s, it’s currently under renovation with the finished interior stunning you as you enter. The main hall and atrium is beautifully finished.

The exhibits themselves range from nature, industry to a section on the ‘made in Taiwan’ phenomenon of the 80/90s. I also found the exhibit on endemic Taiwanese nature really fascinating

Really worth a visit, especially if you have time to do multiple museums. It’s fantastic value!
