From April 22nd to 25th, I enjoyed a 4-day free time trip in Taipei! It was a very fulfilling trip, with delicious food, night views, and even a little work.
It was a very satisfying stay in Taipei, packed with history, modern architecture, local cuisine, and even subculture!

🚩 Route

Day 1:
📍Taipei Main Station
→ Walk and shop in Ximending
→ Enjoy street food at Shilin Night Market

Day 2:
📍Enjoy the spectacular view from the observation deck of Taipei 101
→ Take a commemorative photo with a life-size figure at Star Wars Expo
→ Be impressed by the pepper buns at Raohe Street Night Market

Day 3:
📍Historical stroll at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall
→ Visit Yongkang Street for miscellaneous goods and sweets
→ Din Tai Fung for Xiaolongbao dinner 🍽️

Day 4:
📍Souvenir shopping at [Taipei City Mall]
→ Return home from [Taoyuan International Airport]

🏖 Photogenic spots
・The sunset and night view from [Taipei 101 Observatory] are truly breathtakingly beautiful
・Take a photo with Darth Vader and K-2SO at [Star Force Exhibition]📸
・The cafe street and the exteriors of the general stores on [Yongkang Street] also have a retro and cute atmosphere

🍜 Exquisite gourmet food
・Din Tai Fung's Xiaolongbao is the classic! The skin is thin and full of meat juice
・The combination of Shilin & Raohe Street Night Market's pepper buns and Taiwanese beer is the best🍺
・For breakfast, we also recommend Taiwanese rice balls "fan tuan"!

💡 Tips
・The Taipei MRT is really convenient! But be careful as it gets crowded during rush hour.
・With the electronic money "EasyCard", transportation and shopping are smooth.
・Popular restaurants require reservations or are best visited right after opening.
・The night market is most lively and fun from 19:00 to 22:00 after sunset.

This time I stayed at Shangri-La Far Eastern, Taipei.
It is easily accessible from the Xinyi area, and from the room we could enjoy a luxurious time with a panoramic view of Taipei 101 at night.
