A Day in Taipei's Xinyi District

Xinyi District is a popular destination for young people, featuring numerous luxury boutiques, renowned department stores, and cinemas showcasing the latest blockbuster movies. The area also boasts a variety of gourmet restaurants for you to explore and enjoy!

'Cao Cuisine' is a well-known omakase-style Japanese restaurant that has gained popularity online. Located in an alley off Keelung Road, it’s about an 8-10 minute walk from Taipei 101/World Trade Center MRT Station.

I personally enjoy this type of Japanese cuisine, which offers a rich variety of small dishes. The food is fresh, delicious, and exquisitely presented, with reasonable prices that won’t break the bank. The portion sizes are just right. Although the space is slightly compact, the chef’s service is impeccable.

One of the biggest perks is that the nearby Four Beasts Mountain provides a great spot for a post-meal walk or a hike to enjoy panoramic views of Taipei 101 and the Xinyi District’s nightscape.
