Palais De Chine Hotel Taipei

Located in a prime spot right next to a shopping mall directly connected to Taipei Station. Previously, I dined at the Chinese restaurant here, but this time I stayed for two nights. I traveled from Taichung via high-speed rail, and the hotel's website provided a very clear map, making it easy to navigate even in the expansive Taipei Station.
Upon entering, you're greeted by a horse statue, which leaves a strong impression. The lobby is on the sixth floor.
This time, I opted for breakfast, which costs around 5,000 yen if paid separately. The selection is extensive, including Taiwanese specialties like soy milk soup and shen dou jiang. You can order items like omelets via QR code, and they are brought directly to your table. The lighting is somewhat dim overall, but it becomes quite cozy once you get used to it.
For eco-friendly reasons, amenities like toothbrushes are not provided, but essentials like bathrobes and slippers are well-prepared. Each floor has self-service water and sparkling water dispensers, which are very convenient. However, there is no ice dispenser, so I had to request ice by phone.
The air conditioning and other systems are AI-operated, and the language can be set to Japanese, which was incredibly convenient. The bathroom is designed so you can see the bed, making it perfect for solo travelers who value privacy. The flower arrangements scattered throughout the hotel add a lovely touch. I would definitely stay here again.
