Five-Star Hotel Right Next to Taipei Main Station

The Palais de Chine Hotel offers excellent accessibility as it is directly connected to Taipei Main Station. You can reach it directly from Taoyuan Airport via the MRT, and even on rainy days, you can move around without getting wet—super convenient! The interior is elegant and luxurious, featuring horse motifs and stylish chandeliers that add a touch of sophistication.

However, there were a few disappointing aspects for a five-star hotel. For instance, toilet paper cannot be flushed and must be disposed of in a trash bin, which felt a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the cleaning service seemed to prioritize "eco-friendliness," which left some areas lacking—for example, hair left in the bathtub from the first day remained untouched.

Another point was that while my room was upgraded, I was informed that I couldn't access the lounge, which was a bit disheartening. Although I appreciated the room upgrade, the lack of explanation felt unusual compared to other five-star hotels I've stayed at worldwide.

That said, the location is excellent, and I had a safe and comfortable trip overall!
