Exploring Old Taipei

Last time, I didn’t manage to cross Zhongshan Bridge successfully, and I couldn’t let it go. This time, I was determined to give it another shot!

This time, I decided to approach it differently—starting from home and walking there. After all, I’m more familiar with the city roads (hopefully less time spent getting lost?!).

The trail from Zhongshan Station to Yuanshan Station is well-planned, with rich cultural and scenic spots along the way. It passes through creative markets, traditional markets, parks, and many quirky little temples.

I peeked inside to watch worshippers toss divination blocks, bought a cup of bubble tea (the kind I only drink once a year), and sat down to daydream. The life of an ordinary passerby suits me perfectly!

Finally, I visited Lin An Tai Historical House, which left me deeply impressed. The ancient building is well-preserved, and it’s truly remarkable that such old houses can still exist!

In a city like this, in a country like this, what is there to complain about? We should cherish our blessings...
