[Taipei] A fun and exciting hotpot tour

#TravelTactics

When you think of Taiwan, you think of hot pot. My friends and I visited three restaurants in Taipei, each with its own unique character, and each one was a memorable experience.

🔥 Rolling Thai (Taipei, East District)

This popular restaurant serves authentic Thai hot pot. It offers exotic flavors like rich tom yum soup and mellow coconut soup. The herbs and spices added a unique kick to your average mala hot pot. The stylish and clean interior makes it the perfect place for a girls' get-together.

🔥 Hachijo Lao Tak Mala Hot Pot (Songshan Area)

This restaurant features a retro interior reminiscent of a renovated old Japanese house. In this relaxing atmosphere, you can enjoy traditional mala hot pot at your leisure. The soup is spicy yet rich, and pairs surprisingly well with offal, beef, and tofu. The flavor was even more delicious when enjoyed with a group. A hidden gem in Taipei.

🔥 Mala 45 (near Taipei 101)

This luxurious hot pot restaurant is located on the 45th floor of a skyscraper. The Taipei nightscape unfolds from the window, creating an unbeatable atmosphere. The soup options include not only spicy but also pickled cabbage and pork hotpot, and the ingredients are of the highest quality. This is a recommended hot pot spot for a special occasion, where you can enjoy a little luxury.

Each restaurant has its own unique charm, and I was reminded of the depth of Taipei's hot pot culture. Spending time together over hot pot is sure to become one of the most memorable experiences, whether on a trip or in your daily life.
