Japan Food Festival Themed Buffet Part 2, running from September 5th to November 4th
Hot dishes feature Tokyo Station Curry Beef, Beef Don with Garlic Steak Sauce, the ever-popular Beef Wellington, Garlic Butter Baked Oysters, Nagoya-style Fried Chicken Wings, and more.
The raw food section features four types of seared nigiri: salmon, wagyu beef, Angel Red Shrimp, and smoked duck breast, along with a variety of special appetizers.
Desserts also feature many Japanese classics, such as brown sugar warabi mochi, sesame cheese, sesame fiorentino, seared Japanese cheese, and red bean soup.
Today's most anticipated dishes are JR's classic Provence lamb chops and Beef Wellington. JR's French-style grilled lamb chops are exceptional, tender and delicious when cooked medium-rare. Be sure to eat them hot; the fat is too noticeable when they're cold and lose their flavor! For those who prefer a raw dish, ask the chef to grill it again for a more fragrant finish!
The Beef Wellington was quite disappointing. It felt like it wasn't made from fillet, so it was a struggle to cut and chew, and it had a distinctly fishy smell. 🥹
Luckily, the seared wagyu steak, Tokyo Station curry beef, and wagyu donburi were all quite good, satisfying my beef craving. 🥰
There was a long line for the Iberico pork tonkotsu ramen in the freshly cooked section, but the broth was a bit salty, so be careful if you're afraid of the pork smell!
The new Japanese desserts were pretty good, and the Japanese sesame cheese and charred cheese were delicious. ❤️
Two dishes had a noticeable burnt smell today, one of which was the fried noodles. Fresh Meat said the other chicken dish had a similar smell. Be careful if you're dining there. 😅
