Taipei Wonderland

🌋 Beitou Thermal Valley (Thermal Valley, Beitou)
Located in Beitou District, Taipei City, the Thermal Valley is one of the few places in Taiwan where you can closely observe the natural wonder of sulfur hot springs. The water temperature here exceeds 90°C, and the area is shrouded in steam all year round, resembling a paradise on earth. Hence, it is also known as the "Hell Valley."

🚆 Transportation
Take the MRT to Beitou Station, then transfer one stop to Xinbeitou Station. After exiting the station, walk along Wenquan Road for about 15 minutes to reach the destination. Along the way, you will pass the famous Beitou Hot Spring Museum and Beitou Library, both of which are well worth a visit.

🕓 Opening Hours
Open daily until 4:30 PM, so make sure to arrive early! (The first time I visited, I arrived too late and missed it because it had just closed—such a pity 😅)

🌿 Highlights
Although the Thermal Valley is not large in size, it is incredibly majestic. The lush green mountain scenery complements the milky white steam and emerald green spring water, with a strong sulfuric aroma that allows you to feel the power of nature. There are viewing trails and safety railings along the way, enabling visitors to safely admire the spectacular sight of the spring source up close.
