Taitung meets Japan—🦌 Luye Shrine|Quiet Japanese memories hidden in the small town of Taitung

📍 Location
Second Section of Zhonghua Road, Luye Township, Taitung County, near Luye Plateau and hot air balloon activity area, it is a small shrine with a long history.

🚶♂️ Transportation
Driving from Taitung Railway Station for about 30 minutes, or biking from Luye Station for about 5-10 minutes. It is recommended to visit it when arranging a hot air balloon and Luye Plateau tour.

📝 Experience Sharing
Luye Shrine is small, but surprisingly charming. It was originally a shrine during the Japanese colonial period. Although it was later demolished, the torii and stone lanterns that are currently preserved can still give you a sense of the old atmosphere. Standing under the torii, there are mountains and trees behind you, and the air is very clean. For a moment, it seems like you are not in Taiwan.

There are no tourists here. Instead, you often see locals riding bicycles, walking their dogs, and jogging. It is a quiet corner for Luye people. Although the shrine is not large, it is a place worth a short stop for those who like taking photos or are interested in historical spaces.

🎒 Tips
• There is no sales point, remember to bring your own water and sunscreen
• It is recommended to arrange a tour before or after the Luye Plateau or hot air balloon activities
• Keep quiet and do not disturb the lives of local residents
