At five in the morning, I awaited the first light of dawn in Dongqing Bay. The waves crashed against the shore like a whisper, and the vibrantly colored plank boats floated on the surface, like a painting from a dream. As the sun slowly rose, its golden light shone on the boats, illuminating the entire tribe's tranquil morning.
This is the spiritual homeland of the Tao people. The plank boats are not just decorations, but wisdom and faith passed down through generations. Watching the elders wipe the boats and the children playing by the rocks, I felt a silent respect and deep affection.
