Taitung Dawu 9420 Coastal Park｜The Romantic Starting Point of Route 9

Starting from Fangliao in Pingtung, heading towards Taitung via the Southern Cross-Island Highway
After passing through long tunnels, you’ll reach the east coast and see the first glimpse of the ocean.
We chose Dawu 9420 Coastal Park as the first stop of our Taitung journey.
The romantic Route 9 at the 420K mark cleverly matches the current popular pun '9420'.

This place features many photogenic art installations.
There’s also a park nearby, but unfortunately, it’s fenced off.
Not sure if it’s under renovation or just closed to prevent heatstroke during playtime.
Parks in Taitung really need more shade! 🤣
