Island Time on Xiao Liuqiu

#chinatravel Xiao Liuqiu is the perfect little island getaway if you just want to chill out and enjoy some ocean vibes. I spent a couple of days exploring and it was super laid back from start to finish. You can rent a scooter and ride around the island in less than an hour, stopping at beaches, caves, and snorkeling spots along the way.

The water is super clear and if you’re lucky, you’ll spot sea turtles while snorkeling. The beaches are small but really pretty, especially Beauty Beach and Geban Bay. Food-wise, there’s a good mix of seafood, local snacks, and cute little cafes. The sunsets are amazing too, especially from the western side of the island. Everything feels close and easygoing, and the locals are really friendly. It’s not super developed, which makes it feel more relaxing. If you’re in southern Taiwan and want a chill escape with nature, sea views, and turtles, Xiao Liuqiu totally hits the spot.
