Soak, Steam and Snack at Qingshui Geothermal Park

#chinatravel Qingshui Geothermal Park in Yilan is such a fun and chill spot, especially if you’re into nature with a twist. The main draw here is the hot spring steam vents and natural pools where you can literally cook your own food. People bring eggs, corn, sweet potatoes and just drop them in these boiling water baskets. It’s kind of wild but also super fun.

The vibe is relaxed and very local. You’ll see families, couples and even solo travelers just enjoying the steam and hanging out. There’s a foot-soaking area too, which feels amazing after walking around. The whole place smells like sulfur but you get used to it pretty quick.

It’s not a big fancy spa or anything, but that’s part of the charm. It feels natural, a little rustic and totally down-to-earth. Bring your own food if you want to cook, or grab some from the vendors. Either way, it’s a cool way to spend an afternoon outdoors.
