Surrounded by mountains in Datong Township, Yilan, there is a warm and simple world - Qingshui Geothermal Park. This is not an ordinary tourist hotspot, but a hot spring secret place where you can breathe with nature and talk with the center of the earth. There is no commercial hustle and bustle, but the whispers of the mountains and the glimmer of geothermal heat.
Qingshui geothermal is the natural energy that gushes out from the depths of the earth. On the surface, hot steam rises, and mist lingers between the mountains. The morning is especially dreamy, as if you have stepped into a fairyland of clouds and mist. The geothermal water temperature can reach up to 95 degrees Celsius, and hot water and white smoke continue to emerge all year round. It is a rare wild geothermal spring area in Taiwan.
There are free foot baths and cooking areas in the park. Travelers can bring their own eggs, corn, and sweet potatoes, and cook and eat them in the stone hot pool to experience the fun of "geothermal picnic". While soaking your feet to relax your muscles and blood circulation, you can smell the mountain breeze and the fragrance of sulfur. It is both healing and leisurely. It is the best place for parents, couples, or solo travelers to relax for a while.
The surrounding mountains are continuous and streams flow. In spring, it is full of greenery, and in autumn and winter, it is shrouded in mist, like a fairyland on earth. Walking along the wooden plank road, you can see wild birds flying lightly and ferns growing. Many people say: "This place is like a warm window opened by the earth, slightly open, giving a little tenderness to tired people."
