A coal museum with a mine you can visit

The China Coal Museum is located at No. 2 Yingze West Street, Taiyuan City. It is the only national coal industry museum in China, and a national first-class museum. It is a center for the collection, research, and display of historical relics, specimens, documents, and materials of the coal industry in China.
The museum's basic exhibits include mining tools, processing machinery, and transportation equipment, showing the process of coal formation, mining, and utilization. The boutique hall introduces the distribution and output of coal in China; the coal essence hall displays coal essence handicrafts; the coal formation hall explains how coal is formed through precious paleontological fossils and multimedia; the coal and human hall displays the application of coal in human history and the important role of coal in human progress.
The "Underground Simulated Mine" in the Coal Sea Exploration Scenic Area is the most popular. It is the largest underground simulated mine in Asia, covering an area of 3,200 square meters, with a tour route of 800 meters. The mine is realistic, and the equipment is real, fully displaying the production scenes and development history of the coal industry from ancient times to the present, providing visitors with a rare opportunity to experience the production and life of coal workers. The mine uses modern display methods to create realistic scenes of ancient manual coal mining, modern drilling and blasting coal mining, and modern comprehensive mechanized coal mining faces and geological structures, giving people an immersive feeling.
The "4D Motion Theater" uses 3D images and special motion effects to take the audience into the mysterious ancient forest billions of years ago, with thunder and lightning, frost, fog, rain, and snow, allowing them to experience the formation of coal in a shocking and exciting way.
The Coal Museum also has an "Ancient Mural Hall", which displays ancient murals from Shanxi Province, divided into several exhibition areas, such as "Good Han Style", "Northern Dynasty Masterpieces", "Tang Dynasty Official Style", "Thousand-Year Scroll", "Magnificent Colored Walls (Yuan Dynasty)", "Essence Collection", and "Wooden Architecture (Miniature Models of Ancient Shanxi Architecture)", each with its unique theme and artistic style.
The Coal Museum is located at the intersection of Yingze Street and Fenhe River, 1.5 km north of the Shanxi Museum on the Fenhe River, south of the Taiyuan Museum and Shanxi Bronze Museum, east of Taiyuan Railway Station, along the central axis of Yingze Street, north of Food Street, Bell Tower Pedestrian Street, Chunyang Palace, Shanxi Archaeological Museum, and south of Yingze Lake Park, Taiyuan Bus Station, etc., with convenient transportation and many attractions.
