Taiyuan Ancient County

This is a newly built scenic spot in Taiyuan City. It’s becoming popular not just with foreign tourists but also to Taiyuan’s local people because of its unique scenery.

At daytime you will see the people walking through the streets, taking pictures of the beautiful view especially trying to catch the beautiful sunset.

There are restaurants, snack shops, souvenir shops, a photo studio where you may rent beautiful traditional costumes and accessories to wear for the photo shoot.

After the sunset, the streets become even more beautiful when the colorful lights of the structures turn on.

I recommend to go until evening to see the sunset and lights on and especially during special events and festival like the Lantern Festival.
