[Kagawa] Yashima, the site of the Genpei War, with a panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea

Yashima is a plateau-like mountain located northeast of Takamatsu City, where you can enjoy both history and nature. It is known as the site of the Genpei War, and from the observation deck you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Seto Inland Sea and the city. There is also Yashima Temple, where we were able to pray in a quiet and solemn atmosphere. There are explanations of the ancient battlefields and historical sites scattered around, making it a great spot for history lovers. You can access the top of the mountain by car or bus, and the drive was comfortable. At the observation deck you can also experience tile throwing, which is also fun as a tourist. I was able to spend a relaxing time experiencing history in nature. It was a compact tour, but the content was rich, and it was a great place to feel the essence of Setouchi.
