Takayama Station on the day the leaves start to change color

For those planning a trip to Japan from mid-October to mid-November, we highly recommend Takayama. Today, we're sharing some beautiful photos of the changing leaves around Takayama Station. 🧡✨

We visited in mid-October (the photos are from October 16-18, 2024). Typically, the leaves start changing in mid-October and reach their peak color around late October and mid-November. If you're visiting during the same time as us, you might not see as many leaves yet, but there are still plenty to photograph. If you want to be sure, early November is the best time. Takayama is a small city, but the vibe is amazing! I absolutely loved it. The sunset was even more impressive. I still miss the atmosphere here. It's also famous for its beef. Their signature beef is Hida beef. I'll review it in my next post. For those still undecided about where to visit in Japan from October to November, Takayama is a lovely city that you're sure to love. 🫶🏻🩵✨
