This hotel is a renovated historic mansion dotted around the castle town of Tanba Sasayama, a treasure trove of branded ingredients, making use of Japan's good old buildings.

We had dinner in the dining room on the first floor of the Onae building, a "landscape important building" that is over 100 years old, where local ingredients from Sasayama were used generously.

It incorporated French elements and was very delicious.

Because it is an old house, we were worried about the air conditioning and plumbing, but there were no problems.
