[Wakayama] Feel the Heian period! Kumano Kodo

The official name of the Kumano Kodo World Heritage Site is "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range."

The road itself is a World Heritage Site, and it is a rare place known as a path of prayer, just like Santiago de Compostela, which straddles France and Spain.

If that's the case, we should walk it! The hot blood of a World Heritage Certification Level 1 holder got excited, so we even rented Heian period costumes and started our pilgrimage to Kumano☀️

This time, we chose the 2.5 km route from Daimonzaka in Nakahechi to Nachi Taisha, which is easy for beginners.

I managed to walk it in an hour, energized by the sunlight filtering through the large cedar trees on the old road✨

We rented costumes at Daimonzaka Chaya in Daimonzaka for 4,500 yen for 3 hours👘

Highly recommended for travel memories☝️
