Guan'egou | A Spilled Palette Painting an Autumn Fairy Tale

When the west wind first kissed the Min Mountains, this canyon began its most extravagant celebration. The fir trees stubbornly hold onto their summer green, while the maples have already drunk themselves red like the blush on a bride’s face. The birch forest shakes off its golden coins, laying a path by the stream that leads straight into a fairy tale.

Standing on Lover’s Bridge and looking down, the entire gorge looks like a palette spilled by Van Gogh—ochre, gamboge, vermilion, and indigo flowing and blending among the mountains. Sunlight pierces through the mist, gilding every leaf as if thousands of butterflies are fluttering their wings, scattering light all around. The most stunning sight is Mirror Lake, which fully embraces the autumn colors in the sky. The reflection on the water is even more vivid than the real scene, as if the sky and earth are holding a competition of colors.

Walking along the soft path covered with fallen leaves, every step echoes the rhythm of autumn. Turning around a mountain pass, you suddenly encounter a waterfall—the autumn water no longer rushing wildly but turning into silver threads, embroidering a flowing painting among the colorful forest.

Some say autumn here is too brief, but I say it is precisely this fleeting beauty that teaches us to cherish. So take this moment to meet autumn in Guan'egou, before the frost descends, before the snow falls, and let this land leave an everlasting mark in your heart.
