So far: Tangshan, Hebei's most underrated treasure city
Tangshan is really a treasure. It’s the first time I traveled to Tangshan with my kids alone.
I was still reluctant to leave when I left. I didn't have enough fun. I really didn't have enough fun. If you take your children to Tangshan during the holidays, whether it is for one day or two days, I recommend you to save this guide first.
Travel Mode:
Self-driving is possible, 2 hours and 20 minutes from East Fifth Ring Road
You can take the high-speed rail and arrive at Beijing Station in 1 hour and 10 minutes. The ticket price is 23.5. Itinerary:
Day 1: Beijing-Doma Park
Day 2: Wujiazhuang Church - Qixin 1889 - Xingguo Zen Temple - Nanhu Park - Tangshan Botanical Garden - Tangshan Earthquake Relics Park - Tangshan Banquet - Hetou Old Street
Must-visit attractions: Tangshan Banquet:
Tangshan Banquet is divided into 8 floors, and both the first and second floors are worth seeing. The first floor is a gathering place for Tangshan specialty snacks, such as chess-piece biscuits, fried buns, big glutinous rice dumplings, and small mountain fried cakes. You can eat while watching shadow play; the second floor is divided into 7 areas, including folk old objects display area, blessing corridor, Yanshan Academy, etc., taking photos is very good, and parking is free. Hetou Old Street:
A must-visit place for night view in Tangshan, known as the "Little Tang City That Never Sleeps". You must take a photo of the photo wall with the word "Tangshan" written on it. The floating market, the old car market... are very lively. If you have enough time, you can take a boat trip ❸ Tangshan Earthquake Relics Park
The memory of the older generation, when talking about Tangshan, the first thing that comes to mind is the earthquake. If you bring your elders to Tangshan, you must come here to see it. It should be noted that it is closed on Mondays and parking is free at Nanhu Park
Nanhu Lake is very big. You can take a boat around the lake, take a walk or rent an electric car. If you want to take pictures, you can directly navigate to the "International Garden" to take pictures with a European atmosphere. ⑤ Qixin 1889
The Cultural Industry Entrepreneurship Park was transformed from a former cement factory. Here you can take pictures of the landmark chimney with "Tangshan" written on it. The characters are blurred to create a sense of atmosphere. Parking is free within 15 minutes. Tangshan Botanical Garden
The attractions in Tangshan are relatively concentrated, just near Nanhu Lake. There is no entrance fee and no reservation required. If you want to go to the indoor tropical botanical garden, you need to avoid Mondays. If you drive back to the navigation "Yuyuan (Nanhu Avenue)" to achieve free parking at Duoma Park
A perfect place for children to play, a good place to free your hands, various fish-related entertainment projects, no extra consumption after entering, it is recommended to play for two days if you have enough time, and choose some classic projects to check in for one day. Both adults and babies have a lot of fun
It was Monday and many places were closed, so I didn't get to go to Tangshan Museum. Friends, try to avoid going on Mondays.
