Fuxing Township Xikou Tribe Cultural Tour One-Day Trip

The Xikou Tribe in Fuxing Township is located opposite Jiao Ban Mountain, situated on the river terrace of the upper Dahan River. At the entrance, you'll find a large yellow rattan bamboo basket, a common carrying tool used by the women of the tribe.

Today, we get up close and personal with indigenous culture and learn to be a one-day hunter! From designing traps, observing animal behavior, to learning archery... making your own utensils is also part of today's tasks!

Strolling through the tribe, you can see traditional buildings like watchtowers, granaries, and the Catholic church. You can also enjoy Atayal cuisine in the Xikou Tribe; millet-cured meat with maqaw, millet mochi, bamboo rice, trout, maqaw grilled chicken, and sausages are all delicious, with the millet pudding being the most eye-catching. Authentic and full of vitality!
