[Taiwan/Taipei] Head to Taiwan on Starlux, which began service in 2021 and is headed towards Taiwan's Etihad Airways!

I was traveling to Taipei, Taiwan over the New Year's holiday from December 28, 2022 to January 3, 2023.

Since I had the chance, I decided to fly with Starlux, a carrier that launched in 2021 with the aim of becoming Taiwan's Etihad Airways.

Surprisingly, I managed to fly cheaper than many low-cost carriers (coincidence?).

The seats were chic and the cabin lighting had a slight hint of blue, making it very stylish!
The monitors were easy to use and of course supported Japanese.
I felt like there weren't many movies on offer.

I chose beef for my in-flight meal.
You can choose your meal in advance on the official website.

- Penne pasta with beef hamburger cheese and tomato sauce
- Basil bread
- Greek salad
- Pear panna cotta
- Fruit

The meal was surprisingly more filling than it looked.

It was delicious.

The seats were comfortable and the flight attendants were polite, but for some reason they always spoke in Chinese, never in Japanese or English, so I had to say "I'm Japanese" in English every time, which was a bit annoying (lol).
Well, it's a Taiwanese airline, so that's to be expected, but since it's departing from Japan, I think most people would be able to communicate in English at least.
