The museum's exhibition showcases the fusion of Western-style clothing and Chinese embroidery techniques from the old Shanghai era, as well as the equipment used for tailoring and cotton textile production at the time.

In the exhibition halls, visitors can see a loom in action, demonstrating how traditional brocade ingeniously incorporates real gold thread. A chemical dye exhibition reveals how dyes are extracted from unusual materials like crushed insects and rust. You can also try your hand at operating a miniature hand loom and experience the surprisingly challenging traditional craft of maintaining even tension.
